“I’m
running for State Representative
because God has positioned
me for public service,”
said Reynolds. “The
Lord has indeed blessed
me with many talents and
I have a passion for helping
the community I was raised
in. I will not compromise
my faith or beliefs to win
a campaign.”
Reynolds
shared his views on public
service stating, “I
believe being a public official
should be more than just
a title; it should be about
effecting change and placing
the needs of the community
in which one serves before
his or her own.”

As State Representative of District
27, Reynolds announced he will advocate
for three fundamental issues critical
for the wellbeing of Fort Bend County
citizens and businesses:
•Fund high quality education.
Reynolds’ platform will propose
legislation that de-emphasizes the
significance of the TAKS test allowing
educators to focus more time on helping
students master a college preparatory
curriculum.
“Our State Constitution guarantees
every Texas child the right to a public
education, and we must commit the
resources necessary to meet that obligation.
Far too many of our teachers are leaving
the profession and far too many of
our students are dropping out and
not graduating,” stated Reynolds.
•Expand access to high quality,
affordable healthcare. Reynolds’
platform will support legislation
that increases funding for the CHIP
program.
“There are thousands of Texas
families that don’t have health
insurance because they cannot afford
it. There is no excuse for working
families to not have access to high
quality health insurance. I believe
all Texans have a right to take their
children to a doctor when they get
sick and not go bankrupt in the process”,
asserted Reynolds.
•Promote economic empowerment.
Reynolds’ platform will fight
to ensure funding for entrepreneurs
and small business owners within Fort
Bend County by improving access to
low-interest loans and start-up grants.
Reynolds will advocate for minority,
women and small business owners to
compete on a level playing field for
contracts with state governmental
entities.
“As an African American entrepreneur,
I understand the needs of minority,
woman and small business owners. Small
businesses are the cornerstone of
economic growth and job creation,
representing 99 percent of all employers,
creating nearly three-quarters of
all net new jobs, and employing over
50 percent of the private-sector workforce.”
Reynolds is a proud product of Fort
Bend County public schools and a Magna
Cum Laude graduate of Texas Southern
University. He received his Doctor
of Jurisprudence degree from Texas
Tech University School of Law. He
is a past President of the Houston
Lawyers Association and one of the
youngest persons appointed as an Associate
Municipal Judge for The City of Houston.
Currently, Reynolds is a name partner
in Brown, Brown & Reynolds Law
Firm. For
